Information for Prospective Pupils

Welcome to Cross & Passion College.

Whether you are in Primary 6 or Primary 7, you and your parents will be thinking about the next steps in your school journey. You have experienced some disruption to your Primary School education and we are very much looking forward to welcoming prospective students to our school as soon as possible.

We are incredibly proud of the successes of our young people here in the College, and you can read about some of our strengths on the pages below. It has never been a more exciting time to join Cross and Passion College. Our academic attainment is outstanding, pupils continually prove they can compete at elite level in a range of sports and other disciplines and we are on the cusp of beginning construction of our brand new, state of the art Cross and Passion College buildings.

These pages will be continually updated in the coming weeks and months. We understand that many of you will be familiar with our school, however if you have any questions, or would like to come and meet a Senior Member of staff or our Special Educational Needs team, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

We have several past pupil interviews which we will share on our website, Twitter and Facebook pages when complete. In the meantime, please enjoy the Admissions section of our school website.

Video

We have created a short film to celebrate and document the journey that young people can go on when they join us at Cross and Passion College. Thank you to our students and past pupils for their lovely contributions and it has been a heart-warming and affirmational experience in producing this video.

Our school is a place of care, where we strive to support each other and work towards helping each young person, and indeed all of us, towards reaching our potential in life.

If you have any questions about joining our school (from Primary School P6/P7 or to study at Post-16), please contact our school office at any time.

Shared Education

At Cross and Passion College, pupils in Years 11 to 14 enjoy the benefits of a very close collaborative arrangement with Ballycastle High School. The schools have worked in partnership since the 1960s and today around 300 pupils are involved in shared classes.

The partnership enables both schools to offer a broader curriculum and opportunities to study subjects from a wider range of specialisms, as well as helping forge friendships and enhanced educational experiences.

As one of the leading Shared Education partnerships in Northern Ireland, we host regular visitors from across the world, hoping to find out more about successful educational collaboration.

Currently both schools are in line for re-builds on the first Shared Education Campus in the country. This project respects and continues the histories and ethos of both schools and allows them to continue to thrive, in state of the art surroundings, creating further opportunities for successful collaboration where appropriate.
